\nThe Rectangular 13 was actually sold in Japan in the 1980s, and is a rebuilt version of a dead stock Swiss-made manual-winding watch, with only the dial and hour hand and minute hand redesigned, while keeping the movement and case intact.
\nThe original was a dial with only hour hand and minute hand. There were no indexes or decorations.
\nIn other words, it was a dress watch with no indexes, so it was very stylish. This time, we have replaced them with Breguet-style three-dimensional Arabic numerals to create an mood similar to that of the American rectangular watches of the 1940s, commonly called “square gold watches.
\nThe case is a simple, rounded rectangular case with wire lugs in a very classic style, and the white dial is a slightly aged ivory color. The Arabic numeral indexes and the hour, minute, and second hands are gold, creating a mature and calm design. A total of 32 silver and gold watches will be produced. Only 6 of the silver type were made. However, they were sold out.
\nThe manual-winding movement installed in the watch is Cal.FHF138 made by Fonten Melon , a company that was founded in Switzerland in 1793 and was once the second largest manufacturer specializing in movements, with an annual production of 10 million units and about 1,000 employees in the early 1900s. They specialized in small hand-winding movements, and in the 1940s they were used in Rolex manual-winding models, so it can be said that they were highly reliable.
\nAlthough this is an unused dead stock item from the 1980s, the manual winding movement was not used as is, but was overhauled and adjusted before being assembled. Therefore, although the product is more than 30 years old, you can enjoy it with peace of mind because the movement comes with a one-year warranty.<\/p>\n
